virtual afterschool Inventor’s Club
MakerState’s Virtual Afterschool Inventor’s Club offers weekly after school STEM programming for children ages 6-14. We’ve got live instructors and new projects every session as we’ve created a true virtual makerspace for our budding engineers. Let’s build together with LEGO Virtual Robotics, Rocket Science, TinkerCAD, Minecraft, Scratch by MIT, Roblox and more! Our weekly 50 minute sessions focus on team-building, critical thinking and problem solving through relevant STEM concepts that encourage students to learn in creative ways that extend to life beyond the computer world.
Safety First
We practice online safety & privacy guidelines while asking each of our students to conduct themselves responsibly and kindly.
Excellent Staff
Live STEM instructors from NYC’s finest universities. We ensure each young engineer is engaged with our 8:1 ratio.

Technical requirements:
- Mac or Windows PC with webcam (sorry, no iPads, tablets or Chromebooks)
- Access to Zoom (private, password-protected sessions)
- Physical Material Build Classes will be issued materials lists ahead of time for easy preparation
- For Minecraft sessions, a one time Minecraft software purchase of $26.95 per registrant is required
